Several types of public parking are provided in the Colmar city center.

Multi-story car parks

Multi-story car parks are scattered throughout the town. Wherever you are in the city center, there is bound to be one within 300m! Practical for shopping or going to town with children if you visit Colmar with family.

• With its 900 spaces, the Rapp car park (next to the Champ de Mars) has the largest capacity.
• The Town Hall car park, near the town hall, is ideally located close to the historic center and the little Venice of Colmar.
• Just north of old Colmar, the Lacarre car park has nearly 700 spaces.
• Near Avenue d'Alsace, the Saint-Josse car park is located on the banks of the Lauch.
• The Bleyé car park is right next to the Colmar station.
• The Montagne Verte car park, located on the square of the same name, is an outdoor car park with 375 spaces.

On-street parking

The city's streets are divided into 3 parking zones identified by a color code:

The blue zone offers free parking limited in time (don't forget to place your parking disc on your windshield).

In the green and orange zone, parking is paid. The maximum duration is 8 hours, the price varies according to the zones, the highest being in the orange zone.

Parking prices in Colmar

All car parks in the city center are free for the first hour of use. In the Lacarre and Saint-Josse car parks, you even get 3 hours free! If you are looking to park your vehicle for a full day, the Lacarre car park offers a flat rate of €3 per day.

You can pay for your on-street parking via a parking meter or by credit card via a mobile application. For 8 hours of parking, the rate is €35 in the green and orange zone. Good to know: parking is free on on-street spaces between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m. the next day, including Sundays and holidays.

Finding free parking in Colmar

Many free parking spaces are available in the town, even if they are often taken by storm. Go for example:

• on Place du Capitaine Dreyfus, a quarter of an hour's walk from the city center;
• in the Manufacture car park, right next to the theater and cinema;
• a stone's throw from Place Saint-Joseph, in the car park of the same name.

Where to park during the Christmas market?

Are you visiting the city during the holiday season? From the beginning of December, the city center becomes pedestrian to facilitate travel between the different sites planned for the Colmar Christmas market. In order to alleviate parking problems during this period, the municipality sets up a free shuttle between the Bleylé car park and the city center. In addition, a free park-and-ride car park is available at the exhibition and congress center on Saturdays and Sundays.

Where to park during the Colmar wine fair?

The Colmar wine fair welcomes 20 to 30,000 people per day! To cope with this flow of visitors, 4 secure car parks are available:

• the main car park with a capacity of 1,400 vehicles;
• the airport car park that can accommodate 800 vehicles;
• the Timken and Rey car parks totaling 750 spaces.

In these secure car parks, the parking price is €2 per day. Along avenue de la foire aux vins, 600 free parking spaces are also available.
