What to do in Colmar?

The rich heritage of Colmar makes it one of the most beautiful cities in Alsace. Its historic center is a pedestrian zone classified as a “protected area”. The numerous half-timbered houses, the main attractions of the city; as well as the bourgeois houses that you will see there, will leave you speechless. 

Don't miss the sublime 17th century Maison des Têtes: in the German Renaissance style, it is decorated with 111 masks. Also take advantage of your walk to admire the Adolph House, which is the oldest house in the city of Colmar and which is one of the most popular buildings in the Alsace Wine Route region.  If you are more into Gothic art, take the time to visit the Saint-Martin Collegiate Church, considered by locals to be their cathedral.

Another must-see place in Colmar: the “Little Venice” district, which, in addition to its magnificent decor, offers boat trips to admire the city from another angle. The nearby tanners' district and the fishmonger district also deserve your attention.
