Zaragoza Fair

Zaragoza Fair: A Leading Space in the National and International Scene

Currently, the Zaragoza Fair is one of the most prominent fair spaces in the Aragon region and in Europe, promoting economic and cultural development. It is also recognized for its environmental commitment, implementing sustainable measures to reduce its environmental impact.

The Zaragoza Fair, or Trade Fair, began its activity in 1941 in the Aragonese capital, with the celebration of a general-purpose salon that was attended by entire families, as it was a social phenomenon in its time. The first Fair after the Civil War was held in 1941, with the participation of 127 exhibitors, and the event was repeated in the following years during the month of October.

Over the years, this space grew, driven by two main events: the International Agricultural Machinery Fair (FIMA) and the Official and National Trade Fair. With both fairs as a driving force, the procedures for the construction of a new venue that could accommodate the large volume of exhibiting brands that were running out of space were initiated.

In 1986, the current Zaragoza Fair venue was inaugurated on the Madrid highway, solving the problems arising from the lack of space in the old venue. The Kings of Spain, Don Juan Carlos and Doña Sofía, accompanied by the Minister of Industry, Carlos Croissier, and the top Aragonese authorities, inaugurated the new Zaragoza Trade Fair Palace.

What Is Celebrated at the Zaragoza Fair?

Over the years, this space has focused on organizing high-level technical events, specializing in various professional sectors and in fairs and crafts. Over the years, it has managed to hold specialized fairs, which are currently recognized and supported by the various related economic sectors, becoming a benchmark in the national and international scene.

Among them, the aforementioned FIMA, the Zaragoza Furniture Fair (FMZ), SMOPYC (The International Public Works and Mining Machinery Exhibition), and FIGAN (International Animal Production Fair), which are held and add a new edition year after year, stand out.

The Zaragoza Fair also organizes the emblematic General Fair every year in October, on the same dates as the patron saint festivities dedicated to the Virgin of Pilar.

The Pilar Festivities are unconditionally linked to the General Fair, whose visit has been established as one of the most deeply rooted traditions and customs during the festive days. This fair is the ideal place to promote, present, and sell handicrafts, gastronomic, home, household goods and decoration, automotive, art, culture, and leisure products and services to a family-oriented visiting public.

The Zaragoza Fair venue has a total area of 360,000 m², making it the largest fair in Spain, and has 11 pavilions of various sizes and large outdoor areas. One of the advantages of the Zaragoza Fair is that it has a rental system for stands and spaces for companies. This service allows local and foreign businesses to promote their products or services in an environment full of potential customers. In addition, this space is equipped with large halls and all the necessary services for holding any type of event, conferences, activities, or concerts, both professional and recreational. It hosts important events such as conferences, exhibitions, and awards that recognize talent and innovation. Furthermore, strategic alliances are established with local universities to promote research and technological development.

Attending the Zaragoza Fair is a unique opportunity to enjoy a complete experience full of exciting activities, relevant news, and outstanding awards.

In addition, this institution has been able to adapt to technological advances and the use of digital media. Through its website and social networks, it actively promotes itself before, during, and after the event, generating anticipation and inviting national and international visitors related to each fair. Do not miss this magnificent fair of European fame that combines the best of the business world with entertainment for the whole family.
