Air and Space Museum at Le Bourget

Located less than 15 minutes by car from Roissy airport, the Air and Space Museum is one of the first aeronautical museums in the world.

There is a collection of more than 350 planes in different spaces:

• The grand gallery presents the first flying machines and the beginnings of aviation.
• Recently restored, the 8-column room was built for the 1937 Universal Exhibition. Its black and white checkerboard floor, its columns, its monumental clock and its superb glass roof are a magnificent example of Art Deco architecture.
• The Concorde hall houses several mythical planes, the SEPECAT Jaguar A91, Concorde F-BTSD Sierra Delta, and the Concorde F-WTSS Prototype. You can even board these supersonics (ticket required)!
• On the tarmac, the exhibition of civil and military aircraft allows you to follow the evolution of aviation from its origins to the present day. There are also two life-size models of the Ariane I and V rockets. The Boeing 747 can be visited entirely, from the cockpit to the luggage hold.
• The terraces offer a panoramic view of the planes on the tarmac and the Ariane rockets. The control tower dating from 1953 is open to visitors.
• A fun and educational space offers children from 6 to 12 years old workshops on the theme of aviation and space conquest.
• The space hall is dedicated to space conquest.
