An airport of international importance

Like all international airport structures, CDG airport was strongly shaken by the Covid-19 crisis. Nevertheless, it remains the second largest airport hub in Europe and the 9th world airport for passenger traffic. Less than 2 hours from the main cities of Western Europe, it is the first European airport for intercontinental connectivity.
 
Serving more than 300 cities in 119 countries, Paris-CDG welcomes the largest airlines:

• the Skyteam alliance (including Air France, China Airlines, Garuda Indonesia or KLM Royal Dutch Airlines);
• Star Alliance (including Lufthansa, Air Canada, United Airlines or Singapore Airlines);
• Oneworld (including American Airlines, Cathay Pacific, British Airways and Iberia).

It receives medium and long-haul flights for the transport of passengers but also of freight. In 2005, Roissy airport notably became the main hub of the FedEx company for Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Other companies, such as La Poste or DHL, have also invested in the construction of logistics and automated sorting infrastructure within the airport.

Terminal 1, or central air terminal, mainly welcomes Star Alliance companies for European and international flights.
 
Terminals 2A and 2C are connected to each other. They receive, among other things, flights operated by Oneworld companies and are reserved for international journeys (excluding the Schengen area).
 
Terminals 2B and 2D welcome companies operating flights within the EU and the Schengen area, as well as companies from the Skyteam alliance.
 
Terminal 2E is reserved for international destinations and Skyteam airlines.
 
Terminals 2F and 2G are reserved for intra-Schengen flights and Skyteam companies.
 
Terminal 3 is the place of arrival and departure of low-cost companies (such as Vueling, Air transat, or Smart wings) for European and international flights.
 
Freight zones are specially arranged near the landing runways to facilitate the organization of commercial flights.

How to get to Paris CDG?

Different options make it possible to go to Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle by transport public or car:

• By train, TGV and RER B from Paris and its suburbs but also from the main French cities.
• By bus, lines 350 and 351 connect the airport to the capital (Porte de la Chapelle and Nation).
• By road, the RN2, the A104, the A1 and the A3 allow you to reach CDG by car, motorcycle or taxi. On site, several paid car parks are reserved for travelers.
