Many means of public transport connect the airport to Paris and its suburbs. If you arrive from the provinces, the connection is easy between CDG and the main TER and TGV stations of the capital.

Getting to Roissy CDG by train or TGV

The SNCF station of Paris Charles de Gaulle is located between terminals 2C-2D and 2E-2F of the airport. Access to the departure halls of terminal 2 is via moving walkways and the N1 and N2 shuttles. A free automatic metro, the CDGVAL, allows passengers to reach terminals 1 and 3.

• To go from Gare du Nord to Roissy: the journey by RER B is direct to the airport. It lasts less than 30 minutes.
• To go from Gare Montparnasse to Roissy: take metro line 4 (direction Porte de Clignancourt) to Châtelet-les-Halles station and then board the RER B. Allow one hour for the journey.
• To go from Gare de l'Est to Roissy: take metro line 4 (direction Porte de Clignancourt) to Châtelet-les-Halles station and then board the RER B. The journey takes about 1h20.
• To go from Gare de Lyon to Roissy: take the RER Line A (direction St-Germain-en-Laye / Cergy / Poissy) to Châtelet-les-Halles. The RER B then takes you to the airport. The journey takes less than an hour in total.
• To go from Gare d'Austerlitz to Roissy: take the RER C (direction Pontoise, Château de Versailles or Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines). Get off at Saint-Michel Notre Dame to take the RER B to the airport.

Getting to Roissy CDG by RER

The journey by RER to and from the airport is via the RER B. Lasting approximately 30 minutes, the purchase of a special ticket is necessary. To reach terminals 1 and 3, get off at the Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 1 station. The Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2 station serves terminal 2 and the TGV station.

Getting to Roissy CDG by bus

Different buses serve Paris Charles-de-Gaulle airport. The only downside: traffic can be very slow during peak hours. Public lines (350, 351 and 19) are the most economical. The Roissy Bus makes the direct journey from Paris Opéra station every 15 to 30 minutes. The ticket costs around €16.

Although subject to traffic hazards, going to Roissy by car is the ideal solution when traveling with family or with a lot of luggage. Access is direct via the A1, A3 and A104 motorways.

To park your vehicle, you can choose between official car parks and secure private car parks near the airport.

Traveling by taxi is even simpler, especially if you arrive or take off in the middle of the night! Nevertheless, this service has a cost: the fare is much higher than a trip in your personal vehicle.
