Cartagena is one of the oldest cities in Spain, with no more and no less than twenty-three centuries of history behind it. Its Roman, medieval and military history make it one of the most culturally interesting cities in the country. Therefore, there are many activities that can be done to enjoy all its museums and soak up its rich past.

 

The most famous museums of Cartagena

If we go to the essence of this city located in the region of Murcia, then we have to talk about the Roman Theater Museum of Cartagena, the Naval Museum, the Municipal Archaeological Museum, the Civil War Museum and the National Museum of Archeology. All of them have an unparalleled cultural interest. Thus, in the Roman Theater Museum, as well as the Museum of the Roman Forum neighborhood, we find a journey to ancient times and the heart of Rome in Spain.

The Naval Museum and the Civil War Museum have a perhaps more military character, but also of great historical value that makes them two great references in the region. 

Finally, in the archaeological museums, which are the essence of this port of cultures, we find a journey through the archeology of Spain, with authentic archaeological jewels, with hundreds of years behind them.
