Parks in Saint-Malo: the most beautiful green spaces

Populated with majestic trees and fragrant flowerbeds, the parks of Saint-Malo encourage visitors to stroll. In the heart of the city or by the sea, discover the most beautiful green spaces of the pretty Breton town and enjoy remarkable facilities for a moment of relaxation, sport or a family outing, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The Briantais park

This pretty, slightly hilly park overlooks the Rance. It offers a magnificent view of the estuary, the sea, the forts of Saint-Malo and the Solidor tower, an emblematic monument of the city. Many benches are available along the park's paths: perfect for resting in the shade or enjoying a short break in the sun while breathing in the sea air!

This large public garden houses a small 19th century castle. At the bend of your walk, you will see a temple and Greek statues dating from the same period. A beautiful playground as well as a small equestrian center are also installed there. In summer, a guinguette opens its doors for the pleasure of young and old...

Many species have taken up residence inside the Briantais park. During your visit, you may have the chance to observe a weasel, a rabbit, a squirrel, a salamander or a sparrowhawk!

Located rue Maurice Noguès, it is open every day of the week and weekend, hours vary depending on the season.

The Sainte-Anne rose garden park

The Sainte-Anne rose garden is a magnificent medieval garden housing 150 varieties of roses. You can admire plants selected according to several criteria: their hardiness, their perfume, their appearance, their resistance, etc.

In total, there are 4000 m² of superbly landscaped rose fields offering a magnificent floral spectacle. Signage allows you to recognize the different varieties, among which is the Reflets de Saint-Malo rose, a very fragrant bushy rosebush created by the French rose grower Michel Adam.

The Bel Air park

The Bel-Air park is located two streets from the Bas-Sablons beach. This small haven of greenery decorated with majestic trees includes a playground and a bowling alley: it's a pleasant outing to do in Saint-Malo with family or friends!

The moat garden

The moat garden is located behind the castle of Duchess Anne, right next to the port of Saint-Malo. This small green setting sheltered from the ramparts is the oldest garden in the city. It is decorated with a pretty neo-Baroque fountain and offers a pleasant setting in any season. In winter, local merchants set up their chalets along the fortifications and the Christmas market illuminates the old moats. An event not to be missed!

The oak park

This public garden surrounds a superb 18th century building housing the city's conservatory: recommended for a soothing walk to the sound of musical instruments! In spring, camellias and rhododendrons bloom in its alleys. On Wednesday and Saturday, the district lives to the rhythm of the Saint-Malo market: fill your basket with delicious local products and treat yourself to a luxury picnic in the shade of century-old trees...

Corbières Park

This picturesque park runs along the coast between Solidor beach and the Rance dam. It is an essential stop for walkers following the coastal path, one of the many hiking trails in Saint-Malo. Want to cool off in the waters of the bay? A steep staircase will take you to a small peaceful cove in the heart of nature, away from the large beaches of Saint-Malo.

Nicet Park

With its two belvederes offering a striking panorama of Pointe de la Varde, Nicet Park is the ideal place for a picnic or an aperitif after the beach, a stone's throw from the corsair city of Saint-Malo. Parking, sanitary facilities, playground for children (with climbing walls, swings, trampoline, pull-up bars, etc.), hammocks, tables and benches: the new tastefully designed layout allows you to fully enjoy the beauty of the place.

Paintball, tree climbing, micro zoo are among the most popular attractions. At the entrance to the city, the large aquarium offers an immersive exploration of the depths of the world's oceans...
