Location of Château de l'Hers

The Château de l'Hers is a district located in the east of Toulouse, near Balma. It is also called Cité de l'Hers. It adjoins the prestigious district of Côte Pavée, where real estate is really expensive. The Rocade and the A61 are right next door: enough to quickly leave the Occitan capital for a weekend getaway.

Origin of the district name

Its name leaves nothing to chance: it comes from the castle formerly owning the lands that are now its district. The Hers is the river that flows right next door: so far, no surprise. The various plots of land that were part of the property were sold to developers in order to build apartments, houses, and even villas there. To know that it is a rather new district, which developed in the 80s.

The district is currently served by bus, but the future line C should improve its access. The Place du Capitole is only thirty minutes away by bus.
