Leszno Town Hall

Start your visit in Leszno’s Main Square, where you’ll find one of the city’s most beautiful landmarks – the baroque Town Hall, often regarded as one of the finest in Poland. Just a short 5-minute walk (500 m) from our hotel, it was built at the beginning of the 18th century and impresses with its stunning façade and intricate architectural details, including the clock tower. The interior houses beautifully restored rooms, often hosting exhibitions and cultural events. Don’t miss the historic baroque and classicist townhouses in the vicinity.

Sułkowski Palace

As you stroll through the streets of Leszno, make sure to visit Kościuszki Street, where you can admire the grand baroque residence of the Sułkowski family, set within a sprawling, picturesque park. This palace is an ideal place for a relaxing walk in nature while also stepping into the region’s history and art. Our hotel is only 950 meters away. Originally owned by the Leszczyński family, the founders of Leszno, and later by the Sułkowscy family, the building now houses the local branch of the Provincial Office.

Regional Museum – New Synagogue

The New Synagogue, located on Narutowicza Street, is one of the most important landmarks in Leszno, a remnant of the city’s Jewish district. Built between 1796 and 1799 and remodeled in 1905, it is a beautiful example of Byzantine-Moorish architecture. After a 2006 renovation, it now houses the Regional Museum of Leszno, which showcases the city’s and region’s history, culture, and art. The museum’s impressive collection includes historical, artistic, and ethnographic memorabilia, including portraits of noble families and a collection of 19th- and 20th-century Polish rural art. The museum’s temporary exhibits regularly attract history and art enthusiasts from across the country.

St. Nicholas Church

Located near the western corner of the Main Square, on Kościelna Street, you’ll find the baroque St. Nicholas Collegiate Church, one of the oldest and most significant religious monuments in Leszno. Visiting this church is a memorable experience for art and history lovers. The interior dazzles with magnificent frescoes, intricately decorated altars, and unique architectural details. Attractions Around Leszno

Though Leszno itself offers plenty to explore, its surroundings also have much to offer. Among these, the beautiful Rydzyna Castle and Rokosów Castle stand out. When visiting the area, don’t miss the Pawłowice Palace, part of a magnificent palace and park complex designed by the famous architect Karl Gotthard Langhans, who also designed Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate.

In Osieczna, about 30 km from Leszno, you’ll find the fascinating Museum of Milling and Agriculture, a unique place in Poland that consists of three 18th-century windmills. Around 35 km from Leszno, in the charming village of Cichowo, you can experience the atmosphere of the film Pan Tadeusz directed by Andrzej Wajda. The only film-themed open-air museum in Poland, “Soplicowo Filmowe,” features set pieces created by renowned designer Allan Starski for the adaptation of Adam Mickiewicz’s literary masterpiece. It’s a must-see for those wanting to step back in time and immerse themselves in the old Polish countryside.
