If you have a weekend or even just one day to visit Rome , we recommend taking a walk through the Historic Center. Here's a short city tour just for you.
Discover Ancient Rome and its most important artworks starting from the Colosseum, the largest amphitheater in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Don’t miss the chance to take a photo with the Roman centurions. Continue on to the Imperial Forums and the Roman Forum, the old republican square and the political, religious, and economic center of the city.
For good luck, don’t forget to toss a coin into the Trevi Fountain, the largest among Rome’s famous fountains. Then head to the Pantheon, the famous temple dedicated to all gods, and make your way to Piazza Navona, where you can admire the stunning Fountain of the Four Rivers and the Church of Sant’Agnese in Agone. From Piazza Navona, a 15-minute walk takes you to Piazza di Spagna, one of Rome’s most iconic squares, home to the grand Trinità dei Monti staircase. After a nice stroll, it’s time to relax at Villa Borghese, a large city park in the center of town. Here you can explore the park, rent bikes or rickshaws, take a selfie from the Pincian Hill panoramic terrace, or enjoy a picnic in the shade while listening to street musicians.
Alternatively, there are several tours and guided visits to discover the history of the Capital and Rome’s baroque churches, as well as religious itineraries where you can admire a vast number of statues of illustrious figures. If you're a foodie, we recommend a street food tour where you can sample local dishes, pizza, pasta, and much more.
