You've probably heard that São José dos Campos is much more than just an inland city. That's because it brings together quality urban services, such as great places to shop. Not always on the list of visitors and tourists, the malls in São José dos Campos also deserve attention as they have very cool restaurants, shops and events.
In other words, it differs from other cities around it and you don't even need to go to São Paulo to find what you need. We've put together this list of some of the best malls in SJC for you to do some shopping in the Paraíba Valley. Check out the tips below:
The Vale Sul shopping is super imposing and impossible to miss, given its orange color, which can be seen on the facade. The opening of this shopping center took place in 1994, which makes it part of the city's history. In addition, Vale Sul shopping has undergone several expansion projects to increase in size: there are currently more than one hundred thousand square meters, housing a total of 287 stores.
Located in the Jardim Satélite neighborhood region, on Avenida Andrômeda, it houses several women's, children's and men's fashion stores, as well as a range of wellness and beauty services. A tip is to visit the Tecidos Oliveira store, which is on the same avenue, if you need quality textiles.
In the food section, the kiosks are also plentiful, such as Maria Açaí, Starbucks, Havana and other renowned chains. The best thing is being able to count on Kinoplex cinema and bowling within the space, which can fill your afternoon with friends or family. It is possible to buy through the drive thru system in most stores, from clothing to food. It is worth remembering that this mall also provides vaccination points for the population, as was done during the campaign against Covid.

When we talk about good stores, we can't leave CenterVale shopping aside. Opened in 1987, it is the first mall in São José and has followed the changes that the city has faced over all these years. The place has already hosted major events, such as the show by singer Roberto Carlos and also Daniel, which brought crowds of fans from various corners of Brazil.
In addition to the special programming, the shopping center has all the facilities, including if you need to develop photos, stop by an optical consultation or even work out at the Smart Fit gym. If you need to buy sneakers, Oscar Calçados is also present, along with other shoe and clothing stores.
Of course, if you want to crown the afternoon with a good draft beer in the food court, you can do it without any problems! Especially since the mall recently received a gastronomy fair, which started on Friday and lasted throughout the weekend, as shown by the media coverage. CenterVale has more than 200 stores and 2,200 parking spaces and is located in the Jardim Oswaldo Cruz neighborhood.
Jardim Oriente is part of the ad shopping network and has a curious history that is intertwined with that of the municipality. The first Japanese factory in São Paulo, called Kanebo do Brasil and specialized in the textile industry, was installed in this location. Years later, the City Hall reviewed its policies and granted permission for the construction of the shopping center. That's why the mall bears this name, which refers to the past.
Once there, you can take advantage of services that make everyday life easier, such as the Shibata hypermarket, located within the shopping center. Another quality store is Di Gaspi, specialized in footwear, not to mention the very high level cinema it has, considered the best in the region.
Installed in a prime area of São José dos Campos, Colinas Shopping is surrounded by luxury condominiums and has equally high-end stores. You can shop in privacy and frequent brands that make millions, such as Vivara and Le Lis Blanc. Another difference is the theater present in this mall, in addition to a Poupa Tempo, should you need to redo documents or other details of a practical nature.
The food court has kiosks such as Koni Store and other names to please all tastes and requirements. It is also worth visiting at Christmas, as the mall is richly decorated, great for taking beautiful photos.
