One of the biggest attractions for those visiting the city is precisely the natural richness it possesses. The parks in Uberlândia are true havens of peace, ready to welcome travelers who wish to take a break and relax. You will see that there are many of them, and the best thing is that they are not far from the urban area, nor from our Hotel B&B Uberlândia.

We have selected the best parks in Uberlândia according to the opinion of the residents. Prepare to see up close the beauties of the cerrado and its unique vegetation, and you can even see some typical animals of the region. Check out and share the parks that have the best structure:

Sabiá Park Complex

Sabiá Park is one of the main parks and tourist attractions in Uberlândia and is part of the Virgílio Galassi Complex. Besides being the largest park in the city, it is the best according to the population, being close to the Center Shopping. With very generous opening hours, from 5am to 10pm, it can cater to all profiles. It has a running, cycling and walking track, as well as large sports courts, skate tracks, a children's playground, clubs with swimming pools, and even an aquarium and zoo!

Moreover, the zoo has about 200 animals of 50 different species, spread over 300 thousand square meters full of typical vegetation of Brazil. The environmental richness can be seen in the diversity of vegetation, which displays trees such as copaíba and jatobá. The zoo manages to fulfill the function of preserving animals at risk of extinction, such as the maned wolf, which is one of the animals present there, in addition to being the symbol of the cerrado. Another positive point: admission is free, like practically everything the park offers.

To complement the leisure options it has, the complex has a large artificial lake, perfect for activities such as pedal boating and also to take that photo before leaving. Children can also have a lot of fun with the children's playground, called "Children's World". It is full of activities and wooden toys, and even has a little train.

In short, it is a complete park, with 1.8 million square meters, located in the eastern zone of the city between the neighborhoods of Santa Mônica and Tibery, well served in terms of buses (central terminal) and transport. Tip: if the day is beautiful, take the car and go to Sucupira Waterfall, 25 minutes by car from the park. It's well worth the trip!

Gávea Park

Located in the southern zone, Gávea Park is also one of the state treasures of the city, managed by the City Hall of Uberlândia. It recently underwent a revitalization of the forest, which makes it even more beautiful. 180 seedlings of native cerrado tree species were planted, such as yellow and purple ipês.

This park is one of the best places to appreciate nature and calmness. You can see several native birds flying through the sky. It is also a good place to walk dogs or take children. Moreover, the place has an interactive environment for children to learn about science.

Access to the park is simple, whether by public transport or by car, as it has parking next to the Gávea Condominium. If you are looking for tranquility and calm for a walk, this is one of the best parks for that.

Victório Siquierolli Municipal Park

For those who want to explore the nature of the cerrado, the Victório Siquierolli Municipal Park is where you will find what you need. With its 23 hectares located in the northern zone of the city (Av. Nossa Senhora do Carmo, Jardim América neighborhood), the reserve has several environmental education activities. Among them are guided ecological trails, as well as a children's playground and a cerrado biodiversity museum.

Brazilian visitors can see the natural heritage that our country possesses, in addition to having contact with the fauna and flora of the environment thanks to the examples of vegetation and animals present. All this is even better with a guided tour in Siquierolli Park, which will contextualize the riches of the region.

Santa Luzia Park

Another good address, Santa Luzia Park is located in the neighborhood of the same name, in the southern zone of the city. Built in the middle of native vegetation, it is there that several springs of the Lagoinha Stream are found. Visitors can enjoy the view of the lakes and the countryside, and also walk with complete privacy on the walking track. The place has recently undergone a revitalization by the City Hall.
