This section applies if you are a resident of California, Colorado, Virginia or another U.S. state that has passed a privacy law similar to the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) and requires specific privacy notice disclosures. For purposes of this section, references to “Personal Information” shall also include “sensitive Personal Information” as those terms are defined under the CCPA.

We only use and disclose sensitive Personal Information for the purposes specified in the CCPA or otherwise in line with your consent.
We do not have actual knowledge that we “sell” or “share” (as those terms are defined under the CCPA and used throughout this section) Personal Information of residents under 16 years of age. However, we do share certain categories of Personal Information and, in the preceding 12 months, we have shared the following categories of Personal Information with third parties for advertising and marketing purposes about residents. For purposes of the CCPA, this may also qualify as a sale or sharing of Personal Information.

We will make reasonable good faith efforts to remove the review from prospective public view or anonymize it so the minor cannot be individually identified. This removal process cannot ensure complete or comprehensive removal. For instance, third parties may have republished the review and archived copies of it may be stored by search engines and others that we do not control.

Before accepting such a request from an agent, we will require that the agent provide proof you have authorized them to act on your behalf, and we may need you to verify your identity directly with us.

Summary of Incentive and Material Terms
B&B HOTELS offers users in the United States the ability to register for a free customer loyalty program. Because our loyalty programs involve the collection of Personal Information, it may be interpreted as a “financial incentive” program or “bona fide loyalty program” under state law. How the Incentive is Reasonably Related to the Personal Information Provided
The value of any financial incentive we offer is reasonably related to the value of any Personal Information you provide to us. We estimate the value of your Personal Information by considering, without limitation, the expenses we incur from collecting your Personal Information and/or providing the financial incentive to you, the revenue generated by your use of the financial incentive, and any improvements we can make to our products and services based on aggregating information obtained through the financial incentive program.
If you are accessing our Site and making a reservation from outside the United States, the B&B entity in the country in which you are located will act as a joint data controller alongside B&B Hotels in relation to the processing of your Personal Information. Please see here for a list of data controllers for each country and relevant privacy policies for each entity. B&B HOTELS has entered into an agreement with relevant joint controllers which sets out their respective obligations. Transfers of Personal Information outside the EEA or the UK will be governed by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses for the transfer of Personal Information to third countries (specifically, module one (controller to controller transfer) and/ or module two (controller to processor transfer), as relevant) or the UK Information Commissioner’s international data transfer addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses, as relevant, unless the data transfer is to a country that has been determined by the European Commission or the relevant UK authorities, as applicable, to provide an adequate level of protection for individuals’ rights and freedoms for their information.
