Kaiser-Wilhelm-Bridge

The Kaiser Wilhelm Bridge, inaugurated on August 27, 1907, is 159 meters long and weighs 440 tons. It serves as the connecting piece between the southern city and the southern beach, as well as the southern port facilities. The north and south sides of the bridge both function independently. They regularly rotate clockwise by 90°, which means that only one lane can be used at a time. This mechanism is triggered by a traffic light system.
