Travel to the heart of historical heritage

Reach downtown Montluçon in a few minutes from the train station by walking along Avenue Marx Dormoy. This will take you directly to the heart of the medieval city, which is the most popular district of the municipality.

Stroll along the charming cobblestone streets of the historic center, in the shade of half-timbered houses, and wander through Wilson Park with its beautiful flowerbeds of shimmering colors.

Perched in the center of the medieval city, the castle of the Dukes of Bourbon, important to the city's heritage, opens its doors for you to explore its history-filled rooms. 

Stretching over more than 320 kilometers, which makes it one of the largest canals in France, the Berry Canal is particularly popular with all kinds of hikers and walkers. Its banks offer the chance to go for long walks or bike rides over distances that are suitable for everyone.

One end of the canal is located in Montluçon, in the extension of the Cher, and it crosses Saint-Victor and joins Fonblisse more than 50 kilometers north of Saint-Victor as one of its three branches. You can easily find a map of recommended walking routes along the canal. If you feel like it, visit the Berry Canal Museum, located 10 minutes north of the hotel.
