Sustainable and environmentally friendly design

Our B&B HOTEL in Guimarães, Portugal, is the first hybrid building of the Iberian Peninsula based on the CREE System. This construction system, which combines the use of wood and concrete, is one of the most sustainable, as it achieves a reduced carbon footprint by more than 60%, as well as 33% of material savings and less noise pollution. The hotel's construction process relied heavily on hybrid standardized prefabricated components (such as roof panels, facades, pillars, etc.) to reduce carbon emissions, waste, noise and dust, while saving time and resources, promoting the circular economy by increasing the life cycle of materials.

In the interior design project of the lobby we have managed to recycle a total of 299kg of fishing nets and 1424kg of post-industrial plastic. With a total of 1700kg of recycled plastic we have shaped and covered 105m2 with a Bespoke material made for the occasion.
