Porsche-Arena

Your event in the Porsche Arena

The Porsche Arena is just 2 subway stops or a 20-minute walk from your B&B Hotel Stuttgart Bad Cannstatt. How practical, so you can get to bed quickly after a concert or sporting event! The multifunctional hall is not only known for its sporting events, but also for exhibitions, lectures, concerts and comedy shows. With such a diverse program, there's bound to be something for you! Find out more about the Porsche Arena and its special features here.

What is there to see in the Porsche Arena?

Opened in 2006, the multi-purpose hall is located in Neckarpark, which is known for its numerous sports facilities. The arena joins the ranks of these sports-friendly institutions: With its interior design and multifunctionality, it is made for sports such as basketball, volleyball, tennis, ice dancing and boxing. Numerous handball matches are also held here, such as the German-German match between HBW Balingen Weilstetten and TVB Stuttgart in May 2024.

One of the highlights of the Porsche Arena's sports program is the annual Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, a renowned tennis tournament on the WTA Tour. It has been officially held in the Porsche Arena since 2006 and has since developed into one of the most important events in international women's tennis. Every year, the tournament attracts the world's best female players to Stuttgart. The Porsche Arena not only offers a first-class competition venue, but also an exclusive atmosphere for players, spectators and sponsors.

Further events from other cultural sectors

However, the Porsche Arena has not only made a name for itself in the sporting arena, but also in the cultural arena. It regularly offers a wide range of concerts and shows of various genres - from pop and rock to classical music and dance to comedy and entertainment. World-famous artists and bands perform here as well as up-and-coming talent and local artists from the region.

Trade fairs, congresses, lectures and exhibitions, as well as classical music, ballet and hits are regular guests here. This year's program includes a concert by Vanessa Mai, an opera performance by AIDA, the Stuttgart Knowledge Forum and Sebastian Fitzek with his Thriller Arena Tour.

Depending on the type of event, the hall can accommodate up to 6,500 visitors. Over 5,100 permanent grandstand seats are available and the 2,000 square meter interior offers sufficient space for additional standing and seating.

For families with small children

Families with babies always have special needs: Changing tables are available in the wheelchair toilets in the arena in the lower foyer. The rooms are marked accordingly.

The Neckarpark and the Porsche Arena

The Porsche Arena is located in the middle of Neckarpark and forms a hall duo with the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle. Both halls share a common foyer. Neckarpark itself and the Porsche Arena are located in the northern Stuttgart district of Bad Cannstatt on the right bank of the Neckar.

The park is a sports and event area around the former Gottlieb Daimler Stadium, which was renamed Neckarpark in 2005. Incidentally, the stadium was renamed from Mercedes-Benz Arena to MHP Arena in 2023.

The Neckarpark, with around 20 sports, cultural and tourist facilities, covers an area of 55 hectares. The event area is best known for the annual Cannstatter Frühlingsfest - the largest spring festival in Europe - and the Cannstatter Volksfest on the Wasen - one of the most beautiful festivals in Baden-Württemberg.

The Neckarpark is also home to the Mercedes Benz Museum, the MHPArena and the Tram Museum. The Carl Benz Center is another event center, consisting of a large hall, a 4-star hotel with wellness area and various VfB Stuttgart facilities. It hosts congresses, galas, conferences and trade fairs for up to 2,000 guests.
