Montgermont is a town of just over 3,000 inhabitants crossed by the streams of the small and large Marais d'Olivet. The Olivet meadows form an oasis of greenery occupied by a variety of birds and plant species that are worth a visit. Ideal for a hike on foot or by bike, the valley of the stream of the large swamp forms a remarkable and preserved ecological site of the Montgermontais. This area is accessible by crossing the RD 29 or via the Boulevard de la Robiquette from the city center of Montgermont.

The town owes its name to the old feudal mound located very close to the Saint-Martin de Tours church and the presbytery. It integrates a pleasant 2-hour walking tour, the opportunity to appreciate the city and its landscape during a bucolic stroll.
