Admission Prices and Opening Hours
The museum is open from Monday to Wednesday starting at 10 am and closes at 4 pm, except on Sundays when it closes at 6 pm. Admission prices range from one euro for children aged three to six years to five euros for adults. For those wishing to take a seat on the vintage train 23, a single ticket costs 4.50 euros (3.50 euros for children). The journey lasts approximately 40 minutes.
Tip: If you’re in Stuttgart during the Christmas season, a ride is particularly worthwhile, as mulled wine, children's punch, and gingerbread are served.
Special Events at the Tram Museum
If you would like to receive your marriage certificate in a unique nostalgic setting, you can invite your guests to the Stuttgart Tram Museum in Bad Cannstatt. Inquiries can be directed to the museum directly.
Corporate events, lectures, conferences, and birthdays can also be celebrated in the 200-square-metre event hall. Approximately 35 events are held here each year. As it is a listed building, there is neither air conditioning nor heating; therefore, events are limited to the months of May to October.
Directions and Location of the Museum
The tram museum is excellently connected to the bus, light rail, and suburban train networks and is also easily accessible by car. Additional parking can be arranged, possibly in conjunction with a shuttle service. The bus line 45 stops at Elwertstraße. The S-Bahn lines S1, S2, S3, and regional trains will take you to Bad Cannstatt station. The light rail lines U1, U2, U11, U13, and U16 stop at Mercedesstraße.
