The state of Baden-Württemberg has an international trade fair location in Stuttgart, the state capital, which offers great trade fairs for both experts and occasional visitors. Are you interested in motorhomes, tourism, comics, vintage cars or vegetarian cooking? Then you should make a detour to the exhibition grounds, because here you will find out everything about your areas of interest - all in one place!
Go on a voyage of discovery in one of the many fascinating exhibition worlds. Because that's what trade fairs are for: discovering, learning, trying out, comparing and dusting off! Here you can buy new products, pick up unexpected procedures and best practice for everyday life or make new contacts with retailers, exhibitors or other enthusiastic trade fair visitors. But striking trade fair experiences are by no means everything: Landesmesse Stuttgart GmbH regularly organizes digital and hybrid events, congresses or events - a remnant of the closed trade fair rooms from pandemic times. A special web app makes the trade fair experience possible online.
At the Stuttgart trade fair center, events are differentiated according to target group and divided into in-house and guest events. The public trade fairs include five annual events:
• The CMT - for Caravan, Motor and Tourism, which usually takes place in January.
• Retro Classics - a meeting place for the classic car scene in southern Germany, where European car manufacturers also present their historic vehicles.
• The spring fairs - which also include fairs about the garden, fair trade and Yogaworld.
• The CCG - for Comic Con Germany, a trade fair for comics and comic book adaptations based on the American model of the San Diego Comic-Con International, which has been taking place since 2016.
• The Stuttgarter Messeherbst - with trade fairs from the Animal, Creative, Games Fair, Family and Home or Veggi & frei von.
Numerous trade fairs take place alongside these events. Among the most important are the leading trade fairs Control for quality assurance, Lasys for laser and material processing and Bondexpo for industrial bonding technology. But regional trade fairs such as Eltefa for electrical engineering and Süffa for meat are also firmly established here.
In Stuttgart, you can meet between 600,000 and 1.3 million visitors at the trade fair and discover more than 14,000 exhibitors, depending on the event. On an area almost as large as 16 soccer pitches, there is also enough space for small oases of relaxation or snacks. The modern exhibition area is divided into seven halls of 10,500 m² each, as well as three further halls of different sizes. In this way, each hall corresponds to a specific purpose.
In addition to the indoor area, the 40,000 m² outdoor area also offers a wide range of uses. Open-air events such as concerts, tent events or outdoor trade fairs are organized here.
