Gute Preis-Leistung, gute Lage, aber...

Es spricht vieles für das Hotel: Die zentrale Lage, das gute Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, die barrierefreien Zimmer mit ihrer minimalen Ausstattung. Ein paar Kleinigkeiten sind mir aber aufgefallen: Zum einen gibt es zu wenig Steckdosen im Zimmer. Im Bad fehlen die Handtuchhalter. Und die Handtücher sind somit durch neue ersetzt worden, auch wenn man das nicht wollte, um die Umwelt zu schonen (wofür das Hotel mit einem Aufkleber auf der Hoteltür wirbt!). Hinzu kommt, dass im Bad der Duschvorhang offenbar länger nicht gewaschen wurde. Er war rostbraun am unteren Ende. Ich beschreibe hier die Erfahrungen aus einem Zimmer. Ob es in den anderen auch so aussieht, kann ich nicht beurteilen.

Gut, wie immer, Parkplätze jetzt aber kostenpflichtig

Die Buchung und der Aufenthalt waren problemlos, wie immer. Die Hotelparkplätze sind seit neuestem leider kostenpflichtig, auch für Hotelgäste. Das ist nicht so schön.

Directions to Hotel Magdeburg City

Via the A2: Take exit Magdeburg-Zentrum onto the B189 towards Magdeburg-Zentrum, then merge onto the B71. Take exit B1 towards Cityring Nord/Zentrum-Nord, then follow Walther-Rathenau-Straße onto Otto-von-Guericke-Straße. Use either of the two left lanes to turn left onto Albert-Vater-Straße/Walther-Rathenau-Straße/B1. Further along Walther-Rathenau-Straße/B1, keep right and continue along Walther-Rathenau-Straße. At the junction, take the first exit (Erzbergerstraße) and then continue onto Otto-von-Guericke-Straße.

By bus/train: Take any of the following trains from the main train station: IC, ICE, RB, RE; RE1, RE20 or the S1. You can also take tram lines 4, 6 or 10 to the Häckelstraße/Museum stop to reach the hotel.
