Japanese Garden
The Japanese Garden is a unique work of art. The landscape includes water features, various plants, old trees and ornamental stones. The are Buddhist, Shinto and Taoist elements to the design. Small paths weave in amongst small ponds and streams, an idyllic lake and a waterfall. Old trees and exotic plants dominate the garden’s design. One of the most eye-catching elements is the tea and guest house. It originally stood in Tokyo, but was brought to Germany by a businessman and eventually bought by the city of Kaiserslautern. A Zen and Alpine garden round off the Japanese Garden.
