Kilian's Church
Kilian's Church, named after the Irish bishop St. Kilian, is one of Heilbronn's most popular sights. And rightly so, as it is one of the city’s most significant buildings. The church is mainly built in Gothic style, and the western tower in particular represents a striking point in art history. The tower was one of the first buildings north of the Alps to feature elements from the Renaissance period. On the top of the church tower is an eye-catching sculpture, popularly known as “Männle”. Today you can see a replica of a citizen armed with a broadsword and a banner of the city coat of arms at the church: the original can be viewed in the town hall.
