Mittlere Rheinbrücke Bridge has been one of the most important crossing points over the Rhein for over 750 years. Today, it is a piece of the cityscape and a symbol of the city of Basel. A popular photo backdrop includes the bridge with Basel Minster in the background. In the middle of the bridge, you’ll find the Käppeljoch, which formerly served as a place of execution.
